How do I set up logging on the SpecLog server?

SpecLog's server logs can help troubleshoot problems you may be experiencing. The logs are generated using Microsoft's Enterprise Library and can be configured by editing the service.entlib.config file in your \server directory.

An example of how to configure the logs to output all log entries can be found here.

Note that extended logs can impact on the performance of SpecLog; disable the extended logs once you have finished troubleshooting.

If you are experiencing issues with your SpecLog server, we also recommend running the server from the console instead of as a service. This logs all directly errors to the console. To run the server from the console, open a command prompt and start SpecLog.Server.exe using the following command:
SpecLog.Server.exe /console
